26. Strike with Hidden Fist
(l) Move the left foot back to the inner side of the right foot, toes on the floor, and turn the upper body slightly to the right. Move the palms from both sides upward and inward and raise them in front of the head. At the same time, change the right palm into a fist, both palms inward. Look ahead. (Fig. 147)
(2) Move the left foot one step forward to the left (southwest), heel on the floor, and turn the upper body to the right, both arms turned outward. At the same time, tower them to the right side of the waist, right fist in the 1eft palm, both palms up. Look down and to the right. (Fig.148)
(3) Turn the upper body to the left, shift the weight to the left, bend the left leg forward and straighten the right leg to form the left bow step. Withdraw the left palm to the left side of the waist as the waist turns to the left, knuckles down. As the body turns, the right fist strikes forward in a straight and quick blow at abdomen level, knuckles up. Look at the right fist. (Fig.l49)
Points for attention: The stance is the left bow step (west by north) and the blow is struck due west. Relax the shoulders, drop the elbows, and extend the shoulders after striking. If the force is quickly released, attention should be paid to the movement of the whole body and the release of force from the waist and legs. The bow step should be 1arger and the shoulders should be extended farther forward. The forearm should be jerked quickly and loosely. The-fist should not go above shoulder level. All movements should be well coordinated, harmonious, natural and continuous.
