Kick with Right and Left Foot

29. Kick with Right and Left Foot

(1) Shift the weight backward, toes of the left foot fully inward, and turn the upper body to the right backward- Move the palms in arcs to both sides, palms outward. Look ahead to the right. (Fig.155)

(2) Shift the weight to the left and withdraw the right foot, toes on the floor (or not on the floor). Move both hands in arcs downward in front of the body and cross them at wrists in front of the abdomen and move them up with an oblique cross in front of the chest (right palm outside), both palms inward. Look ahead to the right (due east by south). (Figs.l56 (A) and l56 (B))

(3) Bend the left leg slightly, stand on it firmly, and raise the right leg to kick slowly forward to the right (due east by south), instep flat. Move the hands simultaneously, one to the right forward and the other to the left backward, both palms outward and wrists at shoulder level, elbows slightly bent. The right arm faces the right leg. Look at the right palm. (Fig.l57)

(4) Bend the right knee and land the right foot forward and to the right (southeast), heel on the floor. Turn up the right arm, and draw the right palm slightly backward. Lower the left palm, move it in an arc past the left side of the waist forward and upward and thread it forward over the right forearm, palm forward. Look at the left palm. (Fig.l58)

(5) Land the right foot on the floor, shift the weight forward, and straighten the left leg. Move the left palm upward and forward in an arc, palm down. Move the right palm in an arc downward and backward, Palm up. Look at the left Palm. (Fig.l59)

(6) Withdraw the left foot to the inner side of the right foot, toes on the floor (or not on the floor), and turn the waist slightly to the right and then to the left. Continue to move the hands in arcs, the left palm downward and the right palm upward. Cross the palms at wrists in front of the chest (the left outside), both palms inward. Look ahead and to the right (due east by north). (Fig.160)

(7) Bend the right leg slightly and stand on it firmly. Raise the left knee and kick with the left foot forward to the left (due east by north) slowly, instep flat. Move the hands simultaneously, one to the left forward and the other to the right backward in arcs, palms both outward and wrists at shou1der level, elbows slightly bent. The left arm faces the 1eft leg. Look at the left palm. (Fig.l6l)
