32. Apparent Close-Up
(l) Move the right foot half a step forward, ball of foot on the floor. At the same time, open both fists so that the palms face oblique upward. Look straight ahead. (Fig.171)
(2) Shift the weight backward, place the right foot fully on the floor, and bend the left leg forward to form the left bow step. Move the palms slowly apart until they come to the front of the chest at shoulder width. While forearms are being turned inward, move the hands downward to in front of the abdomen and then press them forward, palms forward and wrists at shoulder level. Look ahead. (Figs.l72-l74)
Points for attention: When moving the P3lms apart, withdraw and turn down the palms at the same time. Use the elbows to draw the forearms backward. There should be a clear distinction between the empty and the solid when shifting the weight. The pressing of the hands and the bending of the leg should be well coordinated and synchronized for the finish.
