45. Draw Bow to Shoot Tiger
(l ) Bend the right shank and move it backward, and raise the right foot on the right side of the body, toes naturally down. Stand on the left leg, s1ightly bent, and turn the upper body to the left.
Swing both palms to the left, the left to the left side of the body and the right to the front of the left shoulder, both palms to the left and at shoulder level. Look at the left palm. (Fig. 233)
(2) Turn the upper body slightly to the right, and land the right foot on the right side (due west slightly by north), both palms down. Look forward. (Fig. 234)
(3) Turn the upper body to the right and shift the weight to the right to form the right bow step. Move both palms in arcs simultaneously downward and to the right and change them into fists when the palms come to the right side of the body. Then turn the upper body to the left and move the left fist P8st the face to strike forward to the left (southwest) to nose level, knuckles oblique backward and thumb oblique down. Move the right back to before the right side of the forehead, elbow bent, palm outward and thumb oblique down. Look at the left fist. (Figs.235-236)
Points for attention: When swinging the hands to the right, turn the head and waist simultaneous1y, and look at the right fist. In the final position, relax and lower the waist and turn it back slightly, but do not turn the right knee inward or twist the hips to the left. Turn the head southwest in the same direction as the left fist. The bow step is executed slightly by northwest.
