Each form includes a brief description of the history and characteristics of each and is then demonstrated in its entirety. The bare hand forms are demonstrated one time and the weapons forms are demonstrated two times, once at natural speed and once in slow motion. The set is designed to give the viewer a sense of and appreciation for the forms and as such does not include detailed explanations or instruction.
Disc one includes the Xinjia First Form (Xinjia Yilu), the Broadsword, the New Frame Cannon Fist (Xinjia Erlu), the Straight Sword and the Spear. The second DVD presents the Old Frame First Set (Laojia), the 38 Movement Form, the Double Broadsword and the 19 Movement Form.
