Tai Chi Master - Sun JianYun

Introduction of Tai Chi Master Sun JianYun:

Sun Lutang's daughter, Sun Jianyun, was born in Wangdou, Hebei Province in 1914. She is a well-known Tai Chi master and the successor of Sun Style Tai Chi (Taijiquan). Now she is Vice President of the Beijing Martial Artists Association, President of the Beijing Sun Style Tai Chi Academy, and Honorary President of the Beijing Xingyi Chuan Academy.

Since her childhood, Sun has inherited her parental precepts, and studied both the both literature and Wushu (Kung Fu). She has mastered the spirit of Xingyi, Baguai, Taijiquan and their weapons. In 1931, she studied from Li Jinglin, and gave lectures in the Jiangsu Provincial State-run Wushu Hall. After the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, in the first National Games, Sun was appointed as the Wushu referee in chief. She rewrote Sun Style Tai Chi Chuan and Simplified Skills of Sun Style Tai Chi, and wrote Xingyi.
